It was an enriching, engaging and candid experience for the Class 8 students of Arooja's Little Stars School, Cochin on 17th February 2020, when they attended the short training sessions organized by ANAVI Cochin chapter.
Below topics were covered-
1) Adolescence - Problems and Solutions : class by Mrs. Deepa Bijen, Student counsellor and special educator.
2) Breathe out exam stress with yoga : class by Mrs. Meera Praseed, Yoga instructor.
3) Importance of personal hygiene : class by Mrs. Jincy Glen ( she is our ANAVI member)
"I feel I could make the children understand that "Hygiene is two thirds of health", said Mrs. Jincy Glen, ANAVI Kochi member who spoke to students about Importance of personal hygiene.
Mrs.Deepa Bijen, student counsellor and special educator, was grateful to ANAVI that she could be part of the small initiative . In her words, the experience was unique & at the same time challenging & felt that she could help the children by providing simple tips to face and overcome challenges of Adolescence ,and strive to be at their very best.
Mrs. Meera Praseed, a yoga instructor by profession, who took the last session, led the students with grace into a powerful weave of integration allowing mind, body and spirit to come into true alignment.
The school authorities were highly appreciative of the manner in which ANAVI Kochi organized & conducted the event. The children were very enthusiastic & patient till the end. They thanked ANAVI for the unique experience.
You may help us in various ways. Not just by donating fund, but you may also be a part of working team. You can come along with us to serve the underprivileged society. Be with them, teach them, spend time... it could be any thing. They need good words to share.
