This Day Care Centre cum Nursery School comes under the banner of the Women's Co-ordination Council of West Bengal. There were 15 children from the age group of 2 yrs to 6 years present. The 2 teachers as well as the Members of the Co-Ordination Council were present and were extremely grateful to ANAVI for donating a Ceiling Fan for the class room and Complan for the Children. The fan we donated was installed in our presence by their Electrician and the kids were so excited to have a fan above them now specially in the sweltering heat that Kolkata is going through. These children stay in this Centre for 10 am to 4 pm and besides their classes have Complan/Dahlia and a mid-day meal daily. The parents of these children work for a living and are happy to keep their children in this school where they are not only safe but also given their meals and education as well.
ANAVI is proud to be associated with this deserving school and we plan to visit them in June and hand over their school bags and stationery items as well as Dahlia which the teachers had requested for.
You may help us in various ways. Not just by donating fund, but you may also be a part of working team. You can come along with us to serve the underprivileged society. Be with them, teach them, spend time... it could be any thing. They need good words to share.
At the least, one can also help by spreading the work of Anavi on social media. If not you, anyone else may be willing to join.
